An invitation to join …

We read and enjoy the latest books.

We choose only books published since 2000. Our choices to date have been:

The Thursday Murder Club – Richard Osman

Hamnet – Maggie O’Farrell

The Salt Path – Raynor Win

Life After Life – Kate Atkinson

Crow Lake – Mary Lawson

The Case Of The Wandering Scholar – Kate Saunders

Meet Me at the Museum – Anne Young

Read and Enjoy!

The Group enjoyed Ellie Griffiths’ first book of the Ruth Galloway whodunits “The Crossing Places”, set on the north Norfolk coast. They were less enthusiastic about Kasuo Ishiguro’s “Klara and the Sun”, the sci-fi world where the robot was both storyteller and heroine, where humans with wealth could have their academic ability artificially improved. Man created robots that were goodhearted, sympathetic and uncomplaining, and so much better than the humans that used them.

We meet on the 4th Thursday of every month 3pm-4pm at the George Ward Centre.

To join, call John his contact number is in the Members area on the About page.
