The Natural World

The Natural World group is for those people who are interested in wildlife, conservation, the natural environment, and green issues such as climate change and endangered species.

Meetings are on the 4th Wednesday of the month 2pm – 4pm in the Emily Hayward Room, at the George Ward Centre.

2022/2023 Programme
The group has a varied and interesting programme for 2022/2023. People are welcome to dip their toe in, so to speak, if a topic interests them, or they can come every month. Every Hinckley u3a member is welcome to join us for a day trip but please check with Janice to ensure spaces are still available. The exact costings haven’t been calculated yet, so your expression of interest is only ‘in principle’ until they’ve been done.

Please note all our meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 2.00-4.00 in the Emily Hayden Room at the George Ward Centre in Barwell, unless otherwise stated.

22 November 2023
Those of you who attend the Natural World group regularly will be aware that the November meeting had been cancelled
However, the good news is that Margaret Pickering is taking over as group leader and the meeting scheduled for November 22nd will now go ahead
Margaret will be giving a talk on some famous naturalists and brain-storming for ideas ready for the 2024 programme
Everyone is welcome
