We will look at, explore and share the important themes in human thought, past and present, and the thinking, ideas, writings and works of history’s great thinkers. These may be through learning about what specific philosophers have thought or by looking at different schools of Philosophy and its exponents or by picking up a theme and seeing how this was addressed by different philosophers from different disciplines. You won’t need any formal knowledge of philosophy, just a desire to learn more by meeting people with like minds in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. We welcome all who want to find out about the subject and enjoy the challenge of friendly sharing of ideas and discussion. Come with an open mind, a willingness to learn from each other and mutual respect of our different viewpoints.

We meet in rooms 1 and 2 in the George Ward Centre, Barwell, on the first Thursday of each month, from 2 till 4 pm.
